The Foundation invests in education, specifically with regard to faculty development and new learning opportunities for children and young adults.

Commitments to Date

The Foundation is excited to share the following commitments:

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School Funded Endowment.  SSES is a 688 student co-ed boarding school located in Austin, Texas.  Its student body is diverse, with students from 20 countries.  The school is welcoming of all faiths, and challenges its students to live intelligently, creatively and humanely as contributing members of society.  During 2018 the Foundation established the Carol A. Buch Family Endowment with an agreed prioritization of faculty development opportunities.

Purdue University – Carol A. Buch URM Scholarship.  Purdue University is ranked among the Top 10 Most Innovative Universities and Top 5 Most Trusted Public Universities in America.  During 2021 the Foundation worked with Purdue leadership and The Brian and Rachelle Harlow Scholarship Match to establish the Carol A. Buch URM Scholarship, which will assist under-represented minority students achieve their engineering goals for many years to come.  The Scholarship is available to undergraduate applicants across engineering disciplines.

Purdue University – Carol A. Buch URM Outreach.  In support of the Mitchell E. Daniels School of Business, in 2023 the Foundation established the Carol A. Buch URM Outreach Fund to support networking and speaker events bringing together students, alumni and faculty of Purdue’s Krannert School of Management.  This unique funded outreach commitment directly support’s Purdue’s 5-Point Mission of Fostering a Culture Based On:  Driving Action, Sustainable Transformation, Inclusive Community, Creativity and Innovation and Student Success.  The inaugural outreach event will be held in Indianapolis in April 2023.
